I have been practicing family law in Houston and the surrounding areas for 40+ years. In those many years I have come across all types of cases, all types of clients, all types of opposing counsel and all types of judges. While I know the law, I know something even more important in family law cases: I know people. I know how to read them, how to anticipate what the other side might say or do, how to know when points have been scored with the judge or jury. Clients often tell me that they came to me because a former satisfied client recommended me. That is the highest compliment I could earn. I became a family lawyer to help people. I also believe that a good family lawyer has to have excellent litigation skills. I have even had clients ask me to take over their case after they have witnessed me in trial in other cases in the courtroom. Everybody deserves someone who is dependable and tough that they can rely on and trust when their lives are in crisis.
